What We’re Made Of · 4–5 minutes · Voiceover + B-roll with on-screen text for key points. Tone: Encouraging, warm, team-oriented. Studio product shots up top, then each scene with its storyboard panels and shot list.
Production notes
Casting
Feature two (or more) different couples to reflect inclusivity. One couple is the “primary” thread; the other appears in shorter cuts depending on the time available or which footage turns out better.
Card selection for B-roll
Choose prompts that are immediately relatable and not too heavy for a first impression. Good options: “Childhood Curiosity,” “Turkey Dinners,” “Camp FOMO.” Avoid anything that could feel confrontational out of context.
Captions
Full on-screen captions throughout for accessibility, in addition to the key-moment text callouts noted in each scene.
Studio product shots
Studio product photography of every component in “What We’re Made Of.” Build a complete asset library for retail, packaging, KarisParenting.com, and social. Components confirmed by the script: three card decks (Reveal / Choice / Align), dry-erase board, solid + striped tokens, Discovery Coasters, instruction booklet, box.

Hook & Introduction
“What if discovering what you value now felt more like a conversation than a chore? What We Are Made Of is a game for couples and co-parents that helps you reveal your current and inherited values, so you can decide together which ones to keep and which ones to leave behind.”

What’s Inside
“Inside you’ll find three card decks: Reveal, Choice, and Align. Each deck helps you explore different dimensions of your values: Reveal explores your past, Choice explores the present, and Align your future. The front of the game board helps you map where your family stands right now, and the back will help you decide together how to live into your values. Solid tokens mark where you agree. Striped tokens mark where you agree to disagree. Discovery Coasters will help you explore the need beneath each value you hold tightly.”

How to Begin
“For quick sessions, just shuffle the decks, draw a card, and discuss the card without the gameboard or tokens. Quick sessions are perfect for road trips, chats over coffee, or during a walk together. For longer sessions, use the tokens and game board to play.”

Full Setup & Gameplay
“Here’s how a turn works. Shuffle the cards and place them in a pile on the table. Draw a card and read it aloud. The card will be from one of three decks. Reveal cards explore where your values came from — your childhood, culture, the things you absorbed without choosing them. Align cards help you align on certain scenarios as a team, especially if you disagree about how to approach it. Choice cards ask you to choose what matters to you now and what values you want to carry into the future. As you answer cards, you’ll identify what values — like family, finance, or character — are at play. When you share a value, place one solid token on that category on the board. When you differ, place a striped token on the two different values. There’s no right answer, only honest ones.”

Let’s Pause
“Some conversations will be easy, but some might be more difficult. If a conversation starts to get heated, say ‘Let’s Pause.’ Stop immediately and place the card in the pause area. Hold hands and say: ‘We are on the same team. We have the same goals.’ Set a timer for 20 minutes and step away to breathe or walk. When the timer goes off, come back together and decide to continue the conversation now or save it for next time.”

The Ending — Map vs. Compass + Coasters
“As tokens accumulate, the game board will show your current values map. This is where you are right now, including values you may not have consciously chosen. Snap a photo or jot down the values and amount of tokens on each value, then turn the board over. Use the back of the board to write a Family Compass statement that describes the values you want to live into as a family. The map shows where you’ve been; the compass points to where you’re going. Come back to the board anytime, preferably every 6–12 months. Your values will evolve as your family does. Live into what you want to value. Drop the autopilot. If you haven’t looked already, grab the Discovery Coasters for your top values to keep exploring. The Discovery Coasters give you prompts to help you explore possible needs beneath each value. We recommend saving these for the end of a session to continue the conversation after the game ends.”
